The Bonefish in the Florida Keys are world famous for their size and Islamorada and Key Largo have some of the largest Bonefish in the Keys. Our Bonefish average seven to eight pounds and can be very tricky to catch. Even though our Bonefish are large, that doesn’t make them any easier to see. Their gray and silver coloration camouflages them on the turtle grass flats as they hunt for crabs and shrimp to eat. Standing high on my polling platform, I can spot these fish and help you prepare to make a cast with either a fly or spinning rod.
